Iteration closure:
- Dan: We're coming up on end of the iteration soon. Have some time to pull together next week what will be the release for this iteration.
- Dan: Looking at Task Board.
- Andrew: Shib update...need to get in contact with Paul on LDAP schema required for Smithsonian integration.
- Dan: Bill, relevant questions for Hydra folks?
- Bill: See who, if anyone, is doing a shib integration.
- Dan: I added an overview documentation task for myself.
- Dan: Bill, how are you about closing the DuraCloud JIRA item for tracking DfR 0.1 tasks?
- Bill: Automation step for bit integrity still needed. Andrew planning to create manifest this week, which is a needed piece. Likely won't happen 'till next week.
- Bill: Fyi, DfR release is planned at same time as DuraCloud release. May need to push DuraCloud release out a week in order to finish some items.
- Dan: Looking at to do list now.
- Chris: DFR-76 and 77 not started. 77 is most likely to actually get done in the next week and a half.
- Dan: Looks likely everything in "to do" list will get done except 76.
Upcoming meeting:
- Jonathan: Talk about second iteration...want a kickoff meeting. Spent a lot of first iteration getting oriented, etc.. Want to get more done in next iteration.
- Brad: Doodle for the week of the 9th? Looking for a half day.
- Dan: Split into two two-hour sessions?
- Brad: Maybe easier would be to block a half day. Use that time to work through all planning/design issues we want to get through at this point.
- Bill: Monday the 9th? Start at 11? Morning and afternoon session.
- Jonathan: Where are dates for iterations?
- Dan: See releases in JIRA. Start date and end dates.
Hydra meeting this week (Bill will be there):
- Bill: It's a 2-day activity. FIrst is LibDevConX. Second is Hydra partners meeting. Will talk to people first day, give a DuraCloud presentation second day. Talk about DuraCloud in general and DfR.
- Chris: Interested in how people in Hydra are thinking about cloud storage, in particular eventual consistency issues.
- Bill: Will be mentioning issues we've seen when dealing with cloud storage, will be listening to see if folks there have noted similar issues.
- Dan: Interested in who's doing private clouds.
- Bill: So far seems people are interested in hosting themselves.
- Dan: Also interested in what people are doing for process orchestration (beyond Work-do)
Misc:
Dan: Include in our discussion of planning how to introduce camel or OSGi in a lightweight way.
Chris: Yes...use cases/stories important. Format characterization seems like a good possible place to start.
Dan: Talk about on the 9th.
Dan: Search engines. Want to dovetail well with DuraCloud.
Bill: Yes.
Dan: Talk about on the 9th.
