The researcher has access to a dedicated set of functionalities in DSpace-CRIS. In the simple scenario any DSpace registered user can become a Researcher creating her own Researcher Profile. Once that, she is able to edit her personal information and decide the visibility of these informations. As described in the field configuration documentation specific attribute can be marked as read-only, in these cases the researcher will be able to manage only the public visibility of the information as the data come most probably from an external source (HR system, etc.) and so, the changes need to be performed elsewhere.

The researcher is also able to manage the list of objects connected to her profiles as publications, projects, awards, etc. She can make a list of selected objects or hide some from her profile.

Furthermore, the researcher is able to connect her profile to ORCID and manage the ORCID syncronization preferences so to transfer information from the local DSpace-CRIS installation to her ORCID profile automatically or on-demand.

The researcher can check statistics about the visit and download from the system of her profile and connected objects (publications, projects, etc.)
