Notes
Announcements
- Andrew is working on this
- Islandora and Fedora Camp
- Successful camp
- Diverse group (librarians, admins, developers, systems admins, etc.) so difficult to dive too deeply into technical details. Fairly high-level curriculum.
Road to Fedora 6
- Sprints
- Looking for more participants
- April sprint will focus on containment and messaging
- Messages can currently be created but nothing triggers messages yet
- May sprint will focus on ACLs
- May need additional tasks depending on who signs up
FedoraResource and identifier translation
- Problem with mapping internal Fedora ID to external IDs, particularly when embedded in RDF triples
- Looking for consensus on the direction to go in
- Some Fedora resources are different but share an identifier (e.g. Mementos are representations of the prior state(s) of a resource)
- Translating identifiers for parts of archival groups
- Jared will start a document to work out the details
Versioning
- Peter is working on on-demand versioning
- Auto-versioning is currently working
- We can put together a demo of the different versioning options
JIRA Issues
- Jared working on this
- Depends on ghost node work
- Needs review
- Andrew will review
OCFL Implementation Issues
- Object locking previously existed but has since been removed
- Persistent session manager adding more sessions without removing any
- Concurrency issues when creating multiple persistent sessions
- Ultimately need JIRA issues to address - Danny will start to create these
Actions
- Clarify in in documentation that multiple simultaneous writes to OCFL are not supported
- After team has a chance to comment, send Ghost Node idea to general community for feedback
