Each partner and cohort institution/organization (except LC) will assign someone to be the point person for their institution's profiles ("the profile wrangler"). The role of this person is to:

• be responsible for loading, managing, and maintaining profiles in their institutional directory
• ensure that their institutional profiles follow best practices as designated by the Profiles Working Group and/or whatever group follows that deals with best practices
• provide initial review & training assistance for other members of their institution in creating profiles
• serve as the point person for the institution to the cohort for any questions/comments about their institution's profiles

The Profile Wrangler should:

• have or develop a basic understanding of profile creation
• have or develop an understanding of basic github
• remain current with best practices as they develop

• Join the Profiles Working Group list (even if you don't want to be part of the working group itself). (Email or Slack Nancy Lorimer for an invite)
• Request invite to become a member of the LD4P group in github, if you haven't already received one (Email or Slack Nancy Lorimer for an invite)
  
• Create a subdirectory for your institution in the cohort-profiles directory. See here how to do it.
• Decide on how you will name your institution in a profile/resource template id. Add that code/name to the list in the readme file of the cohort-profiles directory
