Google Analytics - how to set up analytics to monitor a site, collection or exhibit (30 Nov: C. Aster note: this is an out of the box feature in Spotlight, however, it is provided with almost no granularity -- what would be helpful is knowing how to use the rich/granular faceting/reporting features of Google Analytics if anyone sets it up to point at an institutional exhibits instance, as we have at Stanford).

Discovery services for exhibits and collections -

(  I think we should drop this for now.  I believe my initial inquiry was how to handle discovery services when a customer is on the main exhibits page, such as exhibits.library.tamu.edu.   I see the thumbnails for the various exhibits as well as the tags but I don't see a search box.   The Stanford site has a "See also" section but with more than 60 exhibits, how do you search from this landing page?  Should you be able to search from the landing page?  If you are viewing one exhibit, can you search for related exhibits on the site?  )

(Should we have catalog records for collections and exhibits?  This feature will probably be at an institution level. Harvard has catalog records for collections.)

NOTE:  Ask for community members to tell us what they do now for collections/exhibits.  What are future plans.  Let’s add it to the Who’s Who.

How do we communicate with developer community.  This would also include how we arrive at feature or service requests and how to present them to the developers. As this call continues to take off, hopefully we will have developers at multiple institutions. [12/1 discussion: possibility of using this community call for feedback on feature or service requests]

Turning MODS into RDF to be added to items in the Repository [More developer call? More Fedora?] - note, please move to developer list

Out of the box custom metadata tagging features and things to be aware of

Better understanding the features in applications such as Blacklight, Solr and Spotlight and how they are related or interact. We’d like to develop a list of questions that might help to articulate a high-level overview.

Image manipulation once item is in Spotlight.  The scenario here is an image was included as part of a Manifest and is a landscape orientation when it needs to be portrait.  How do I change the orientation so it will display properly on the page?

This will be held for the Developer List.
