DuraSpace Membership Newsletter
March 21
MESSAGE FROM THE CEO
This month I am very pleased to welcome new DuraSpace Board members Kaithlin Thaney and Wolfram Horstmann (info here from their bios).
We were gratified to receive more than 100 applications for the DuraSpace Business Development Manager position. Interviews are underway for the person who will cultivate and deepen relationships and partnerships to elevate our organization’s profile and to expand the services it offers. I hope to introduce the new Business Development Manager at the DuraSpace Summit next month.
The 2017 Membership Campaign kicks off in April. As current members you will be emailed information prior to your renewal date. We value and appreciate your continued financial support, which is critical to advance the DSpace, Fedora and VIVO open source software projects. While DuraSpace proudly provides these applications for free for anyone to use, our projects rely on your membership dollars to pay for the staff who provide technical leadership, direct strategic planning, organize community outreach, and coordinate timely software releases.
Results from the Community survey on consulting services here to come.
Warm regards,
Debra Hanken Kurtz
