Rationale
The Profiles Affinity Group provides a forum for the development of Sinopia profiles, both shared and institution-based. It builds on the work carried out by the Profiles Working Group (November 2020 - June 2019). Members have developed training and some basic best practices in creating profiles, discussed and documented issues and limitations of the profiles and Sinopia itself, and spent a lot of time developing a shared set of profiles for cohort use.
Group discussions cover issues related to Sinopia base profiles management, institutional profiles development for Sinopia, and general profiles best practices and workflows on a collaborative cataloging environment.
The LD4 Profiles Affinity Group coordinates with format based LD4 Affinity Groups (Serials, Rare Materias, etc..), the Sinopia developing team and the Program of Collaborative Cataloging (PCC) specific Task Groups as needed.
