Title

Storage is defined by policy, not by configuration

Primary ActorRepository managers, anyone concerned with archival soundness (auditors, archivists).
Scope System-wide effects
Level79〫F
StoryCurrently, storage for repository resources is defined by configuration that is by default unconnected with the specifics of objects. In order to change the manner of storage based on object characteristics, significant amounts of time and expensive technical expertise have to be expended. Just as access control is now defined by declarative policies (which can be stored in the repository) that can be associated to resources at a number of different levels and in a number of different ways, storage for resources should allocated by declarative policies (which could be stored in the repository) that could be flexibly deployed.
