Packages exported from DSpace preserve existing handles and include
extraneous nodes added to the DSpace-DC metadata. The DSpace
installation includes a tool for cleaning the metadata and
eliminating existing handles. However, it requires a BASH
shell that is not available on a standard Windows installation.

Therefore, I've written a script to perform the same
functions, called "dspace_migrate_windows.wsf", which is available
at attachment:dspace_migrate_windows.wsf. Our group will probably be
using this tool repeatedly as collections are migrated from DSpace
to other repositories.

Dependencies:

  • Microsoft Scripting Runtime
  • Windows Scripting Host

The original BASH shell script is available at http://wiki.dspace.org/TechnicalFaq#head-afc2cd87f105a3a7924cc03d633ffcc763046358
