We are very pleased to announce that LYRASIS has received a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library services to pilot migrations from Fedora 3 to 6 and produce documentation, case studies, and pathways for the community. This grant will take place over 18 months between September 2020 and February 2022. More information will be forthcoming over the next weeks and months as we get to work on this great opportunity.

Call for Proposals: Online Fedora Users Group Meeting - European Timezones

The next Online Fedora Users Group Meeting (based around European timezones) will take place in September over several days. This meeting is free and open to anyone who would like to attend; it will provide an opportunity for members of the Fedora community to connect, share information, and provide updates on local projects and initiatives. 

If you would like to present at the next Online Fedora Users Group, please complete the online form. Submissions are due by Friday, August 7.

Fedora Sprints

The last Fedora code sprint took place July 6-10. The accomplishments include: Additional simple search fields, a refinement of how resources are persisted, and finalized Web Access Controls.

The current sprint takes place August 3-7. The goals include:

  1. Implement external content
  2. Initial implementation of Fedora 4 & 5 migration to 6
  3. Refine search service
  4. Initial performance testing of Fedora 6
