- I'm happy to announce I was appointed the DuraSpace Executive Director this month. I'm looking forward to connecting with members at the CNI fall meeting in Washington, D.C. and would love to hear from members before then too. Having emerged from our transition period, the entire team is excited to move ahead with our good work and look ahead to the future of the organization.

2018 Membership Campaign (please update)Campaign
As of October 31 we concluded the formal activities for the 2018-19 Membership Campaign. We are thrilled to report that with the help of 193 members contributing $1,127,773 we came within $13We are in the final days of the active 2018-19 DuraSpace Membership Campaign and are within $53,000 of our goal! Hereoverall goal. Many thanks to all our members who renewed their membership and to the 42 institutions who joined DuraSpace for the first time as new members. Here's where we are ended up by project:
Total: $1,087127,773; 166 193 unique members; 95% of 99% of goal
- DSpace: $299 $309,524; 85 89 members; 116% of goal / I would suggest to consider all the members, including the German ones that form the Consortium. I think the total should be around 86 members. On our website we're listing all of the German institutions because we consider them members. It's also a good message to the community, seeing that we moved from below 60 to over 85120% of goal
- Fedora: $508,167; 74 members; 89% of goal
- VIVO: $179$209,083; 23 25 members; 86% 100% of goal
General: $101,000; 21 members; 97% of goal

A Members-Only Hot Topics Webinar
On Wednesday, December 5th at 12:00 p.m. EST, our Hot Topics Series, "The Revolution Will Be Open?" will conclude. Country-specific Webinar
On November 14th there was the second webinar specifically dedicated to the Brazilian DSpace community. With the support of NEKI IT, a Certified DSpace Contributor, the webinar offered the opportunity to the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul to present LUME, the digital repository they developed to allow access to their digital collections of materials. The webinar was very well attended, with over 35 attendees discussing with LUME's team their approach in implementing repository functionalities, and the lessons learned.
