ArtFrame

  1. Convert existing ArtProperties metadata (both from local format and from MARC records which were themselves created from that local metadata) and convert ArtFrame group members' MARC data (in both cases using LD4All Ontology–there is not enough detail in the existing metadata to convert to the ArtFrame extension)
  2. Create new linked data for Art Properties objects (ArtFrame partners will also want to create native linked data for their materials) using ArtFrame extension

Karma for converting non-MARC data from spreadsheet;
LD4L-Labs converter (with ArtFrame extension) for MARC version of data (possibly LC BF2.0 converter for comparison also)
VitroLib hosted by LD4L-Labs customized for ArtFrame

try to "hack" BF Editor by editing profiles

MARC circulation and private inventory data

Cornell Hip Hop LPs

bibliotek-o
Performed Music
Rare Materials

  1. Create new linked data for ~1,000 LPs, many with annotations
  2. If a converter is available, may use to convert existing MARC records as starting point for original cataloging. UPDATE: does not need converter.

VitroLib hosted by LD4L-Labs, will start with basics and then iterate, want to start July 1

will need Rare Mats and PMO extensions in VitroLib

LD4L-Labs is prototyping something?Need some kind of representation of these materials in the ILS

Harvard Cartographic Resources

bibliotek-o
Cartographic Materials

  1. Convert existing OpenGeoMetadata records
  2. Create new linked data for representative selection of cartographic materials

LD4L-Labs Converter with FGDC extension, pattern-by-pattern approach, not blocked by "core" converter work, goal is to finish by end of June
VitroLib hosted locally, customized for Cartographic Extension, no specific start date that has to be met

Harvard Film Archive

LD4All Ontology
Moving Images
  1. Convert Harvard Film Archive records (local format, FileMaker), start July 1, 2017

LD4L-Labs Converter or some other way of converting the FMPro/csv, like Karma, do more than one way for comparison

VitroLib hosted locally, customized for Moving Images, catalogers can start without converted data

Princeton Derrida Collection
LD4All Ontology
Annotations
Rare Materials
  1. Convert existing MARC metadata for works
  2. Create new linked data for annotations for 525 works
  3. exploring Mirador for annotation of digital surrogates
  4. and using in-house tool for transcribing annotations

LD4L-Labs Converter (can use LC Converter, not desperate for Labs converter)
Homegrown tool for transcribing annotations from digitized images
VitroLib hosted by LD4L-Labs, this is the critical piece, needs annotations, which is part of bibliotek-o

Convert original linked data back to MARC for ILS (not essential)

Stanford Monographic Workflows

BIBFRAME 2.0
(no extensions)

Performed Music

eventually with extensions

  1. Convert MARC cataloging copy with vendor-supplied enhancements
  2. Create new linked data for representative set of monographs

LC MARC to BIBFRAME Converter
LC BIBFRAME Editor (with relevant profiles), or hack LC BF 1.0 editor, CEDAR

LC BF 2.0 Editor, you can create your own profiles, BF 2.0 Editor pilot starts June 1

   ILS stub / operational record

Stanford Digital Repository Workflows
BIBFRAME 2.0
(no extensions)
  1. Convert MODS records for born digital objects, individual and collections?? Or create new metadata?

Which converter? need a converter?
Which editor? CEDAR? VitroLib?

not waiting on LD4L-Labs tools

   ILS stub / operational record

Library of Congress Collections
BIBFRAME 2.0
(no extensions)
  1. Convert MARC bibliographic records, NACO authority records, and TGM to BF 2.0
  2. Create new linked data for a representative selection of AV, print and photo, monographic, serial, notated music, and cartographic resources
