Aaron Choate | University of Texas at Austin | Interim Assistant Director for Technology Innovation & Strategy | Aaron is leading an effort to implement a digital asset management system using Islandora/Fedora for the entire UT campus. He will be well positioned to provide feedback and insight on good range of issues facing Fedora (scale, federation, authentication, etc.). |
Thomas Murphy | University of Michigan - ICPSR | Director of Computing & Network Services | Tom has been instrumental in bringing in Fedora to the University at ICPSR and has formed a team that is building an architecture around it for a more flexible and integrated approach for archival management, workflow and curation services. |
Dan Santamaria | Tufts University | Director of Digital Collections and Archives | Tufts has a decade long history with Fedora. As a medium size shop with medium size resources, we have a relatively unique position in the community. I served on the leadership group last year and should have time to make more substantial contributions in the future due to the additional staff we’ve brought on at Tufts. I’m director of Digital Collections and Archives at Tufts and have fiscal and staffing responsibility. My background is in the archives community (I’ve served as chair of SAA’s Standards Committee, among other roles) and I think it would be valuable to have someone from the archives community represented on the leadership group, particularly as the LYRASIS/Duraspace merger progresses and we potentially (hopefully) explore relationships between tools like ArchivesSpace and Fedora. |
