For participants coming from out of town, the College Park Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, 3501 University Blvd E is the most convenient lodging to campus, and is within an easy 10-15 minute walk of each day's venue.  Other hotels, including some less expensive options, are located on Route 1 on the other side of campus, 1-2 miles away from the library. This map shows some of the nearby options.

What to Bring

Particularly for the Fedora Training on day 1, it is important that participants bring their own laptop to work on during the hands-on portions of the training.  UMD Libraries will provide wireless guest internet access for participants who do not have a UMD login or who are not coming from an Eduroam institution.
