Islandora Client

Excerpt

Islandora is a Drupal-based Virtual Research Environment having a rich set of features including search and access (a user interface). It using Fedora as a back end repostiory making is an excellent platform to use as a reference client for its type.

Issues

  1. (DGI) How is DGI planning to handle permissions/search intersection?
  2. (DGI) Is any user-supplied or generated content or metadata not persisted in Fedora?
  3. (DGI) If a Fedora object is created outside of Islandora, will Islandora be aware of it?
  4. (DGI) What do we need to do to ensure that Islandora can work with the object?
  5. (DGI) Would Islandora be able/interested to support Shibboleth authentication?
  6. (DGI) How do we use same content model?
  7. (DGI) Can we work towards an architecture of reusable components, third-party services, etc?
  8. (DGI) Is exhibition function reusable based on what's in Fedora?
