  • https://github.com/LD4P/discovery/projects/2 for issues etc.
  • Research: how to go from knowledge graph to an index
  • BANG! (Bibliographic Aspects Newly GUI'd)
    • Jamboard link
    • Expect to include Works. Need to do something beyond what we already have live from the OCLC concordance data.
    • References/bibliography list (beginning)
    • BANG! preliminary design-ish/data questions link
    • 2022-08-0412.
      • Huda working through finishing the usability report from BANG. Should have that done by next meeting. Still to decide if we want to update anything for the final demo based on feedback, updating the prototype and doing a demo.  We will aim to wrap this up soon though (maybe a week for the update and then demo the week after)IPLC discovery days: we did include some LD4P3 work on the discovery overview for Cornell. (and of course Melissa did a great job for the D&A work)has almost completed usability report (LINK)
      • Think there are couple of updates that might be done to then create a demo video, and then topics to discuss with D&A team
      • Data sources report - Huda will go ahead and post
  • Post-BANG
    • 2022-08-04
      • Next next steps are: figuring out what to do for the final discovery phase.  We have thrown around ideas related to ILL/items at other institutions.  We would need to work out the linked data aspects. Also would be good to review what other options might be of interest.
      • NEXT WEEK: Start work on discovery workplan for YR3
    • 2022-08-12 YR3 Ideas:
      • Separately, for reference, a list of use cases we compiled over LD4P2: Link
      • Huda has discussed with Hilary use cases of Work data useful for ILL (Link). Jason notes interest in the FOLIO community for Work data for this purpose
      • Music details using new cataloging
      • In POD analysis used LOC Hubs to connect things from different institutions; possible also SVDE tenant for BD data
      • To combine new music data with BD data need to think about identifiers the new data will include that leads to connections, note that we will also have music-specific ids
      • User propositions:
        • Our copy is checked out, would one of these versions at other institutions be useful?
        • We have a score and out metadata doesn't describe related recordings we don't have, but now we can show these recordings from other institutions. This provides access to useful materials and a better picture of what is available generally
        • For a popular work, our edition X is checked out, the system could show an equivalent edition Y that otherwise wouldn't be shown (ILL staff may manually point this out but that is manual work and much slower for the user)
      • Questions:
        • Scores, LPs, etc. often are onsite use only. What ILL services are there? Do they scan?  — Steven to ask Tracey to understand, maybe also discuss with Caitlin
  • DAG Calls
      DAG Calls
      • no call on the 2nd. Open call on the 16th. No call on the 30th.  Resume regular programming on Sep 13th

    • Qa Sinopia Collaboration - Meetings with Stanford will only occur on an as needed basis. Authority request issues: https://github.com/LD4P/qa_server/projects/1 (prioritized based on "important" authorities and ease of completion)
      • 2022-08-12
        • Need to have a break through on adding new vocabs and updates. Still haven't successfully pushed to main, the actions that Lynette had worked on hadn't been completed/tested so the process needs debugging. Need a time for Steven and Greg to work together on this
        • Have another request for rare materials vocab that PCC wants, in id.loc.gov
      •  2022-08-04
        • Greg and Steven have been working to push out updates. Steven configured a new authority. Had to deal with some issues deploying main. Will regroup next week

    • Catalogers working on LD4P effort(s), namely around music
      • Tracey engaged with MLA around how to do background work. In order to do an experiment as part of this grant we will need background work to be done would probably need data to be present by end 2022. Need to work on discovery plan for this year. Jason will discuss with Tracey2022-08-12 Jason discussed cataloging work with Tracey and she is confident that they will have data by the end of 2022, they are going to focus on Vivaldi. MLA folks on wikidata project feel comfortable with that timeline. Will check in again in October

    • Authorities in FOLIO
      • 2022-06-03 Meet every two. weeks. Frances has been busy with POD/ReShare work. LTS have a set of use cases to discuss with Frances in the context of the Solr index and API she is creating2022-07-21:
        • Breakthrough this week! Frances processing Peter Ward files weekly; sharing report from LC, strategizing how to convert JSON to spreadsheets for Mary to work; productive and identifying improvements. Soon can start doing authority maintenance through this process.
        • Discussed FAST maintenance strategy going forward... agree we need to do it but outstanding questions persist. Agree that should use OCLC change report. Assuming FOLIO works on better overlay strategy, considering pulling from OCLC. For records where we only have FAST, interested in pulling in LCSH
      • 2022-08-12 Recent presentation giving past, present and future of our authorities maintenance. Currently about 95% of the way there, even without a FOLIO maintenance module.
        • Widget Connector
