- branch is X.Y.Z-RC but the pom version remains X.Y.Z-SNAPSHOT
- Instead cut an RC branch and change the pom version as X.Y.Z-RC.
- Peter would like PRs to go against main and not against the RC branch.
- Instead of cutting separate branches we could just tag off of the main branch, new feature PRs would have to wait until the release is done.
- Release candidates would be released with a new POM version to ensure correct connection between fcrepo and fcrepo-storage-ocfl for past RCs
