Proposal for Committer Group Coordinated Release: Since no one has volunteered as 1.7 Release Coordinator, we could manage this release from the overall Committers group. However, doing so will require us to establish some slightly more strict code committing "rules" which we all promise to follow. These rules are here to keep us from stepping on each other's toes, and help us to stay on a tighter schedule.
