DSpace 7.x requires the following versions of prerequisite software:

• Updated: Java 7 or 8 11 (Oracle or OpenJDK)
• Apache Maven 3.0.5 or above
• Apache Ant 1.8 or above
• Database
  • PostgreSQL 9.4 or above Updated: PostgreSQL 11 (with pgcrypto installed), OR 
  • Oracle 10g or above
• Updated: Tomcat 7 8.5 or above
• New:  Solr  Solr 7.2.1 or above. See step #14 below.
• New: (optional) IP to City Database for location-based Statistics (either MaxMind's GeoLite City Database or DB-IP's City Lite Database). See step #16 below.
