At the time of each release, Fedora will be compiled and produce artifacts that run on a publicly supported version of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).  A
In the case of an LTS release, the versions of Java supported will always include the version publicly supported at the time of the LTS's initial release. 
A minimum of two months advance notice to the fedora-community mailing list will be provided before requiring a new version of the JVM.

Where publicly supported is defined as a Java version that has passed its "general availability" date but has not yet reached its "end of public updates" date, as specified by Oracle's support roadmap.
